The family enterprise Steelworks Schmees produces castings made of high-grade steel for enterprises from all over the world.They use the new technology of caloric porous structure cells. Within this CPS cell the gas is burned in a ceramic spongelike matrix, the so-called radiation body surrounding the matrix begins to glow. Due to the reason that the radiation bodies have exactly the same form as the material or the tool that has to be heated, the energy transmission is absolutely uniform and extremely efficient, so that approximately half of the gas, which is used so far for warming the casting ladles is saved. The efficient CPS cell technology is applicable also for other industries.
