Lowest Price for Alloy Steel for Serbia Manufacturer

This is just a demo of me cutting through a 1/4″ thick 5″ x 3″ square tube. I still think this chop saw is a good value at $170 https://amzn.to/1K7oPlU but not to cut 1/4″. I did not apply to much pressure…. but I have a feeling I am not applying enough pressure either? Over 35 minutes for one cut is a little long. I also flipped the piece over to help with cutting it at an angle. In comparison I cut a 3″ square 1/8″ thick piece and it took around 5 minutes…..

The video did get cut off about half way through…. but that is probably for the best. I am pretty sure you should use a different saw to cut this. But this saw is really great for cutting smaller pieces…. thinner items. Also this saw cuts very clean, very nice and the motor was not hot after the 35 minute cut job.

This video was also sped up to 6x speed to help with the demonstration. I think this video does demonstrate that this chop saw or my technique needs to be upgraded if you want to cut multiple large 1/4″ square pieces. The other cut I needed I used my Bosch 1994-6D grinder…. which took 12 minutes. But the Bosch cut was not straight at all. But again that is the whole reason you would purchased a chop saw! LOL
