It is the third generation, from the first original “Halligan” bar designed by FDNY Chief Hugh Halligan in 1948, and the second which was introduced in the 1970′s called the Pro-Bar. The MAXXIMUS is 30-inches in length and is one-piece drop forged. It is made of 4140 chrome vanadium steel. It is completely “tuned”, features a 2 3/4″ adz, molded T.P.R. grip to lesson slippage, protective insulation to 24000 volts, and many other features that will greatly enhance forcible entry and other actions and options that are performed daily in the fire service.
