A review of the Joker Swat CT18-2 Stainless Steel 440 B.

Steel: Modified 440B
Handle: Grey Micarta with red 1.5mm polymer liners
Sheath: Genuine leather, single clip (includes a magnesium fire starter)

The blade of the CT18-2 is 5mm thick at the spine and is forged from top grade 440B high carbon, rust resistant steel. The 440B steel of the Joker Swat is a heavier and tougher steel than 440A, but not as brittle or hard as 440C. The Joker has a cutting edge that is flat ground to give it more strength and better edge retention capabilities. I have used the joker Swat to cut notches, Feather sticks, tent pegs and trap triggers and the edge retention is amazing.
I was very impressed with the handle which is made from G10 Micarta and has blood red polymer liners and as the manufacturer says “are used to give the knife a unique look” which it dose this is a good looking knife and also helps with making the knife more visible if dropped in scrub, sorry I’ve never dropped it in the bush so cant say.
The sheath is hand made from high quality genuine leather and is designed to be worn either vertically or horizontally on belt or MOLLE compatible vests / packs.
