if you want to bent aluminum bright tread diamond plate sheet metal, it is probably best to use a dedicated sheet brake tool which gives a strong corner, but has a slight radius. but if you dont’ have a break you can groove the metal with a router, track saw, or simple angle grinder and get a very nice bend. However the strength is lowered. simply bending the piece back will tend to break it along the groove. Annealing does not seem to help that much. for more stregth one could add some corner welds or use some durafix muggy weld type sticks to fill in the corners.
