How to easily make a Cleaver Knife with a Hammer Peened blade. This project starts with a knife blank which was made from 1095 high carbon steel. The blade surface is hammer peened before heat treating. The rough bevel are also ground before heat treating. After the blade is heat treated the lower indentations are darkened leaving a forged rustic textured blade. Check out this short video to see just how easy it is to make this Cleaver knife.
