Living Longer – C60 Olive Oil Interview with Fathi Moussa – C60oo Longevity study

The current theory is that C60 olive oil maybe semi-permanently embedded within the lipid bilayers of the cells and mitochondria, here it acts as a reusable, recyclable antioxidant.

The Fullerene study we interview the professor about is a study called: “The prolongation of the lifespan of rats by repeated oral administration of [60]fullerene”

The abstract to this study is available here:

Apparently it is possible that the C60 olive oil molecule is not damaged when it accepts or donates electrons from/to free radicals. When a cell or mitochondrion dies, it is possible that the C60 olive oil (or C60oo) can be reused by other cells.

While 1000 mg/kg/day of C60 has been shown to be non-toxic in a study. The University of France (Baati) C60 rat toxicity study, which Fathi Moussa did, and showed a 90% lifespan increase, used a dose that is a few times higher than our current recommendation of about 0.02 mg/kg/day (which is about half a million times less than 1000 mg/kg/day).

We would like to see further studies to see if this can be replicated, as presently it remains an astonishing study of longevity in rodents.
