Making a 1095 Carbon Steel Chefs Knife: Part 1

Making a 1095 Carbon Steel Chefs knife with common tools. Part 1: Shaping the blank! Part 2 will be filing the bevel using a jig similar to the one seen on Aaron Goughs and Jeremy from Simple Little Lifes Channels. See Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9iNDRwwBQQ and Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSh44Q634Rk&t=769s

The drill bit I use to drill the holes in the tang is a step drill from Gameco in Australia. It’s designed to be used with the 1/4″ Corby pins i’ll be using to affix the G10 handle scales. 3/16″ small bore, 1/4″ Larger bore. Shame they aren’t metric!
