I’ve had multiple requests to go into detail about the steel target system I use, so here we go!
The system starts with 8″ in diameter, 3/8″ hardened steel targets from Arntzentargets.com. When you have those, pick up cheap garden shepherd hooks from your local Walmart, Home Depot, or elsewhere. Drive the hooks into the ground, hang your steel plates on the hooks, then step back 7-10 yards and fire away! It’s as simple as that, and it doesn’t cost you as much as some other target systems.
There are ways to modify this system and make it even better and more versatile – which I cover in this video. However you set your system up, you’ll do well to switch from other targets to steel. It’s much cleaner, and so much more fun, and as I’ve show in this video, it’s just as easy to take steel targets like these anywhere you want.
