I POSTED THIS TO LET PEOPLE KNOW TO TEST THEIR HIGH CARBON STEEL KNIVES AND DONT JUST ASSUME THEY WILL WORK FOR THE FLINT AND STEEL METHOD,SOME WORK SOME DONT!!!!!!. Many people buy high carbon steel blades because of the fire lighting ability with flint ,as a back up fire starting method. Well i want to tell you i have tried several knives , some work great others dont work at all. It can depend on hardness and steel quality and heat treat.
