I bought one of the new Hitachi modified planers and gave it a test ride. This one has too much vibration which means the blades are not balanced correctly. Vibration is bad because the foam tears more and the vibration causes problems with the wrist and forearm if used for hours like I do. It also shortens the life of the planer. Most of my planers must be balanced before being the best that they can be.
