Silent Tools turning tools have damping technology. The damper is precisely tuned to remove energy from the cutting process, making the tool vibration free. Machining on long overhang is made easy and high quality surfaces can be machined. The modular cutting head SL, allows for many different cutting heads to be used. We recommend the use of TCMT, DCMT or TR insert for best performance on long overhang and with small nose radii.
Silent tools are delivered as standard in sizes from diameter Ø10 –Ø250mm, and also in inch sizes. Tool overhang is from 5-14 x diameters. The tools can be delivered with a cylindrical or Coromant Capto interface.
